Political Awareness Definition: Political awareness is about understanding the ‘currents’, or hidden agendas, in an organization, and particularly the power relationships. Many people have become discouraged from being politically aware after seeing others ‘play politics’ or attempt to manipulate others using political tactics. But used wisely, political awareness is a force for good in society — for understanding candidates and the issues they stand for. We believe it is an essential skill in life.

We’re a small, fast-moving independent expenditure-only political committee registered with the Federal Election Commission. Joining our staff means real responsibility, direct mentorship from leadership, and hands-on experience with how federal election advocacy actually operates.
Media Director
Leads the committee’s media presence: earned media strategy, media relationships, and editorial oversight of published content across platforms. This role directs message strategy for a political committee and holds supervisory authority over media staff.
Social Media Director
Owns the committee’s social media program: content calendars, platform strategy, and public-facing communications across all channels. This role develops and implements public political communications on behalf of the committee.
Finance Director
Directs the committee’s financial operations: budgeting, reporting, and financial planning in coordination with the Treasurer. This is a senior financial administration role involving committee expenditure oversight. Note: this position is distinct from the FEC-designated Treasurer of record, who appears on the committee’s Statement of Organization.
Compliance Manager
Manages the committee’s compliance program: reviewing communications for disclaimer requirements, monitoring reporting deadlines, and supporting accurate FEC filings in coordination with the Treasurer. Write articles on international politics and world news — African, European, Asian, Latin American, Middle Eastern and global affairs — for our newsletter’s world news section. Contributors develop stories on foreign governments, elections abroad, and international political developments. World news content is editorially separate from the committee’s U.S. election coverage.
Senior World News Contributor
An experienced world news contributor status earned through a sustained body of published work. Senior contributors receive prominent bylines, longer-form story opportunities, and priority consideration for feature pieces. Seniority reflects writing experience and portfolio only — it carries no supervisory, editorial, or decision-making authority.
